What is the DARC and what is a local club?

The DARC is the German Amateur Radio Club — it’s the largest association for amateur radio enthusiasts in Germany. It brings together people who love radio technology, experimenting, and making contacts all over the world.

A local club (called Ortsverband in German) is a smaller group within the DARC. It’s like your friendly neighborhood team where members meet up, share ideas, build projects, and help each other out. Every local club has its own activities and events, so there’s always something fun going on!

I really enjoy being part of the German Amateur Radio Club because it connects me with other radio enthusiasts. In my local club, L05, we share ideas, help each other with our projects, and have lots of fun on the air!
